Yay or Nay Wednesday

While there were a few readers who enjoyed the peep-toe stylings of last week's Yay or Nay, the over-the-top '80s look of Givenchy's heels meant a victory for the appalled Nays, who voted that they were more stud-happy stupid than biker beauties. If you were among the Yays, you can pick up a pair for $538.95 at Zappos Couture.

This week's offering plays on a trend that has been floating about for a few months: block colours. With their brogue detailing, flat heel and multitude of colours, are Miu Miu's ballet flats (featured recently on Shoewawa) pretty in patent or awful eighties? Yay or Nay and why?

Not the worst I've ever seen, but still a nay. The ruched heel turns me off the, colors are kind of... strange, and I'm really not a fan of flats in the first place.

Nay. I don't like the colors.

Nay, but then I always say nay to flats of any kind. I just can't abide peach either - especially patent peach. In fact, I don't think any of these colours are nice in patent. There's also that Hush Puppies effect with the ruched back. I do like the shape of the front of the shoes though.
