These 'Salma' sandals by Cole Haan carry a bit of that rough, leather edged, strappy look from the big hit from this year's summer sandals, the gladiator sandal. Grometted straps, two-toned leather and natural-brown edged straps are all reminiscent of the gladiator sandals. So is the wide peep toe, the interlacing straps, the triangular shapes and the focus on the center line down the foot. But the heel is new, and the beautiful white version is a striking departure from all the brown and black we've been seeing all summer as far as strappy leather shoes.
