Enzo Angiolini 'Prize' booties with pewter outline and 'diamond quilted' centre

I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at, when I first looked at this shoe. I thought - whoa, when did Nordstrom start using manequins for shoe photos? (Yes, I can recognize manequins from product photos and likely identify which retailers own them... case in point: Anthropologie vs. Bluefly. You know you can, too!) But that isn't the case with this shoe. It only loooks like its a silver pump with a very high back and a cutout showing the fishet stockings underneath. In reality, it's a bootie by Enzo Angiolini called the 'Prize' which features a pewter outline and 'diamond quilted' centre, and costs US$148.95. How the heck do you wear it? I'm repulsed yet intrigued.
