Ribbons for the daytime from Miss Selfridge's tan Town Shoe
Sometimes I can be spectacularly girly, and it's that trait that I blame for my strange adoration for ribbons. Don't get me wrong, I don't love anything just because it has a ribbon on it, but it does make me want to reach out and touch the dress/package/shoe in question.
In the case of these Town shoes from Miss Selfridge, I don't think even the ribbon is enough to make me love this pair. The colour combination is what is putting me off. The tan (or rather cream, as it appears) leather is fine, a rather vintage shade, but it's made to look putrid and almost green by the gold trim. Unfortunately this poor shade matching has ruined a perfectly good shoe for me.
