From the sublime to the ridiculous: Harrods hire a deadly snake to protect their designer shoes

snake.png It's all very well wanting to look after your glorious shoe investments but Harrods seem to have taken this idea to extremes with their confounding decision to borrow a snake to guard a pair of designer lovelies.

The poisonous cobra has been placed in a case to guard a pair of jewel encrusted sandals weighing in at a whopping £60,000. The highly aggressive and deadly snake, called Cedric, was hired to guard a pair of Rene Caovilla sandals encrusted with rubies, sapphires and diamonds. But as it turns out, it may just have been a sly photo op, as Cedric (deadly name that, huh?) has been returned home safe and sound.
