More sock-shoe devilry, this time from Marc Jacobs
There's something in the water in shoe-making land, and it's definitely not friendly. The trend to wear nice thick socks or tights with dainty shoes or sandals has certainly become quite a favourite over the last year or two, but I fear that this sock-shoe-boot idea is taking it one step too far! The latest to hop on the crazy train is Marc Jacobs, with his "Mary Jane boots", which may not look awful - in context - but by their very nature are every kind of wrong. Of course, being designer devilry, their price is more than normally astronomical, at $725 from ShopBop. I suggest that you find yourself an ordinary pair of Mary Janes and then head to Sock Dreams to accessorise instead!
