Egads. Now, I'm all for ankle boots. I think they look absolutely lovely with a pair of thick tights, or peeking out from underneath a pair of jeans or trousers; but these? Looking like something out of a nightmarish animated film (a.k.a. Helena Bonham Carter on a not-so-stylish day), the lovely shape of the patent boot is ruined by the awkward velvet collar and overly-long pink ribbon. Even less attractive than their kitsch elephant flats (which have a subtle, child-like charm, unlike these); by Maloles, 'Bottine' is a whopping $495.
