Ask Shoewawa: Find me gold Grecian sandals in a UK size 2
I am desperately seeking gold Grecian - Roman sandals for my beach wedding in Sept! I don't want a heel - for sand reasons and I am a size 2! Hmm could be problematic! Hope that you can help me? ~ Emily - a wannabe Greek Goddess!
Well, finding a pair of flat, gold, Grecian style sandals certainly isn't a problem because there are lots of them around - or there were during the summer. The problem, as you probably already know, is finding them in a UK size 2, and after a lot of searching, the best I could come up with was this eBay auction, which seems to be more or less what you're looking for, and the shoes are brand new. If these don't suit, look out for our feature on finding small shoes, coming up tomorrow, which may give you some pointers. Good luck, and remember to check out our sister blog, Bridalwave, for lots more wedding ideas!

Try Giordano in NYC

E bay can be a bit dodgy for size 2s, as we do not have a shared understanding of size 2 in the UK at the moment. Some people now call size 2 a 35, and it is not the case. John Ian, Cardiff, had fab golden sandals last season. Lovely man. He'll help. Failing that, wannabe creative? I have discovered the most brilliant range of shoe-colour and have dyed shoes and handbags a lasting metallic gold.If you can find a pair of suitable grecian shoes in another colour, be brave and try TARRAGO dye. There are half a dozen or so metallic colours available. Bonne chance!

I've had a look at all the small shoe shop websites and can't see anything which immediately matches the sandal you're looking for. However if you don't see anything in the meantime re-check all the shoe websites around March/April when they get their new Spring/Summer Collections in stock. Hopefully you will find something you like.
Good Luck I know just how difficult it can be.
