‘Decadence’ pewter round toe court shoes from Kurt Geiger don’t live up to their name

There are some shoe names that really don’t go with the shoe. Take this ‘Decadence’ by Kurt Geiger pump, £140. I love the word and it conjures up certain images and feelings in my mind (mostly eating chocolate and wearing diamonds) that I’m afraid these shoes just don’t live up to. They are very pretty and I adore the pewter colour that is around so much this season, but the name isn’t doing it for me. Maybe they should have been called ‘Not Really Decadent But Pretty Nonetheless’.
