Halloween footwear: orange patent flats with tartan button by Shelleys

Given that Halloween is coming up fast, I figured some pumpkin-orange shoes might be appropriate... or maybe not, actually. Orange has never been high on my shoe wish-list, and the idea of orange patent combined with tartan is actually a rather frightening one, but Shelleys have gone ahead and made a shoe using just that combination, so let's see what everyone thinks of it. The shape of these flat Mary-Janes is actually rather nice, and I like the plaid button details - it's just that orange patent that has me reaching for my sunglasses. What does everyone think about orange shoes - the next big thing, or strictly for Halloween dress-up?
