I know we're already done Ugly Shoe of the Week today, but when I spotted these parent-child dancing shoes over at Dollymix, I just had to show you them. Now, I'm not a parent myself, so maybe I'm underestimating the amount of time parents actually spend dancing around with their children balanced on top of their feet, but I'm certainly surprised to find that there's a need for a special kind of shoe just for this activity. I'd also always thought the "dancing on your dad" thing happened pretty spontaneously, so I think I'd be put off by the amount of pre-mediation that would have to go into thinking, "I'm going to dance with my kid now. Better go and get the special shoes on!"
Still, if you do enough parent-child dancing to require special shoes for it, I guess these are the shoes you've been looking for. You'll find them here, but you'll have to speak a bit of Finnish to find out how to order them.

They're a prototype, not for order yet.
You can get a delightful fake beard from the same people for 35 euro, though - http://www.com-pa-ny.com/shop/salakauppa/partanenpage.html (which kind of contextualises the parent/child shoes as a funny arty product rather than something you are supposed to actually use)
Double posting (sorry) to say yes, look, it is an art exhibition thing in the form of a shop inside a gallery - http://www.com-pa-ny.com/shop/salakauppa/salashop.html
