Shellys' button-down butterfly detail suede ankle boots - love them or hate them?
I'm having trouble making mind up about these button-down ankle boots from Shellys. In the 'chestnut' colour they also come in, I have absolutely no reservations - it's an outright 'hate', and I think they look a little on the cheap side. In this grey, though, I think they could be rather cute, with the right outfit - although I think I'd like them better without the embroidered butterfly on the side. They're £80, and someone obviously likes them a lot, as stock is low in all but a few sizes. So, are you in the "love" or "hate" camp?

sorry. hate them. with all the sweet booties (hate that word but that's what they're calling them) out there these are just plain ugly. they would be cute with no heels on a little girl. it just reminds me of the grown women that wear "hello kitty" jewelry. i wish all women would grow up and be beautiful, and sexy, and exotic..not cute. i bought some great (ok, i'll use it again) booties at barefoottess.com. sexy, black suede, stilleto-ed booties for grown ups. whats great is they come in a wide array of sizes. this site carries sizes up to a womans 14 in really stylish shoes. i wear a size 12 so it was great to find something other than plain jane, flat heeled, square toed uglies.
