Hooker heels from Topshop, a step too far?

topshophookerheel.jpg

When I first heard about the trend for hooker style I was quite intrigued. I quite like crazy trends and was eager to try it out. However, a few months down the line and a few episodes in to A Secret Diary of a Call Girl and I'm completely over it. These just seem too far in to the trend to be wearable without being confused with an actual hooker. They're also £65!

I love the fact that sometime in the last decade, women started wearing knee high leather boots to their day jobs without being mistaken for night walkers. I actually like the onyx or "wet look" leggings. I feel great in a mini skirt. But straight up hooker heels? The studs are trashy and the straps are messy. No thanks!

I wouldn't say these shoes are hooker-esque, they're from the glam rock trend that is primarily being led by Burberry. These shoes are an almost identical replica of their sold out studded sandals: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2942008/0~6006558~6006559~6007240~6007245?P=1
