See-through shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs' pink perspex stiletto ankle straps
Is the perspex shoe trend still not over? Well, not as far as Marc Jacobs is concerned, anyway, because while these shoes may look like leather from a distance, the upper is actually pink perspex - and I'm not really sure how I feel about that. The heel is perspex, too, and Mr Jacobs has added some cut-out designs on the vamp, plus a black bow trim, making the shoe look a little like the ghost of the pretty leather ankle strap it would otherwise have been had Marc just persuaded himself to walk away from the perspex. As it happens, he didn't just pick up the pink perspex - he's also made a version of this shoe in grey, too. They're $418.95 from Zappos Couture.
