Valentino's wooden soled, bow trim sandals now available to pre-order at Saks

I love the way Valentino has taken what would have been a standard party shoe, complete with bow peep toe and slingback, and used totally unexpected fabrics to create these fabulous bow trim sandals. Instead of satin we have a sturdy looking tan leather, and there's also a wooden heel and even some metal detailing on the sole to toughen things up a little. Despite the materials, these look more like a summer shoe than a winter one to me, and I think they'd be perfect worn with jeans or dresses on a hot summer's night. You hopefully won't have to wait quite that long to get them, even although they're only available to pre-order. They're $795.
