Jelly shoes make a comeback, courtesy of Fendi

BGV04SU_mn.jpg

I don't think I know anyone who'd be prepared to spend $175 on a pair of jelly shoes - in fact, I don't think I know anyone who'd be prepared to spend $20 on jelly shoes, but perhaps I'm mixing in the wrong circles, for Fendi clearly think there's a market for the 80s-inspired plastic shoes. Are they right? Well, you tell me! These Halter Jelly shoes come in smoke, fuchsia and white, and I'd say that at least they'll keep your feet dry, but they're peep toes, so they won't even do that...

Actually, last summer I spent $180 on a pair of Stuart Weitzman high-heeled jelly t-strap sandals. They're gray and covered with crystals. And, they're comfortable and quite stylish, I think :)

The pink pair is interesting. I can't help but feel like a humid glow of sweat would collect against the side paneling, though. Hm.

I have a couple of pairs like this from last summer!!! The brand name is JUJU who I believe made the ORIGNAL jelly sandals from the 80's.
The most comfortable sandals I have ever worn and they came in so many different colours you could match them with any outfit.
