Partent leather tassel sandals by Oscar de la Renta

I'm loving the nude patent leather trend that's going on at the moment (and has been for some time now, truth be told) - the colour definitely helps elongate your legs, and it's one of the few shades that really does go with anything. What I'm not so sure about is the tassel tie on these Oscar de la Renta sandals. Tassels always make me think of bad country and westerns, so while the shoes gain points for the on-trend cone heel and lovely patent leather, I'd personally have preferred them if the tassel had stayed at home. What do you think?
