I'm always very wary of shoes made of velvet. For one, there's just so many opportunities to ruin them, and for two, well, they can look a little slipper-like sometimes. With these crossover strap shoes, though, ASOS have got it just right, using durable patent for the shoe itself, and adding a touch of luxury with the velvet straps. Available in grey and midnight, they'd be the perfect "work to party shoes", and at just £30, they're not too extortionately priced, either.
