Peep toe platform wedges by Modern Vintage Shoes

Does anyone else think these shoes look like they're sticking their tongues out at you? It's my only quarrel with them: there's not much to dislike about a pair of metallic leather slingbacks, but that overly-long insole is a bit of an odd addition, and I just can't get past the idea that it's an open mouth with a sticky-out tongue. Presumably that effect will be diminished once you actually put them on - if you want to find out, you can buy them for $250 at ShopBop.
