Fendi's chain heeled strappy sandals continue the trend for decorated heels

fendichainheel.jpgWe've been seeing a lot of embellished heels lately, mostly from the likes of Prada and Miu Miu , and now Fendi, too, are entering the fray, adding a chunky chain to these otherwise rather unremarkable sandals. It's not the first time we've seen this done, of course - Louis Vuitton created a heel solely out of chain last year, for instance - but I'm wondering what everyone thinks of these? Personally, I'm not a huge fan, finding the chain a bit out of place here. What do you think? And would you pay $690 for them?

I sometimes wonder whether there is some sort of competition going on amongst shoe designers to design the pefectly ugly shoe - one so hideous no one in their right mind would buy it.

Eureka! I think we have a winner!

These look stupid. I don't think there's anything about these that I like other than the sole and maybe the slight platform effect.
