Gucci's 'Newton' high heel lace up peekaboo booties

peekaboobooties.jpgI've never really been able to understand the appeal of peep toe boots (or "booties", as the case may be). To me, it's either cold enough to need boots, or it's warm enough to be able to bare your toes, but then again, I do live in Scotland, so maybe that explains it. I can, however, understand the appeal of these 'Newton' booties by Gucci, up to a point. The shape is beautiful and elegant, but I think I'd only ever want to wear them with opaque tights underneath, because the thought of a bare toe poking out of that peep toe is just too strange. What does everyone else think?

Peeptoes were designed for the viewer of the shoe, not the actual wearer ;)
It is beautiful to see nice feet, with a good pedicure and red toenails... very sexy!
