Topshop's black hi-top trainers

topshophi-topblaak.jpg
I haven't really thought about trainers in a good few years, but they suddenly seem little more appealing. This time round I'm lusting after the hi-top styles I used to mock in my youth, how fashion makes a mockery of you!
I like these ones from Topshop, (£60) they're sufficiently generic to be more stylish than a sports brand shoe and are great for adding a tough edge to dresses and skinny jeans.

My brother's been wearing these since the 80s. He has one pair for chores that is held together with duct tape, one pair he wears to work, and one pair still in the box.
