Anthropologie’s ‘Clematis’ sock-shoes pose a few questions…

We're no stranger to sock-shoes here. In fact, Shoewawa and sock-shoes could well be described as arch enemies, which is why these boots from Anthropologie pose a dilemma: we don't entirely hate them! Perhaps it's the Victorian feel or the pretty vintage print on the "sock". They're not without fault (the ugly laces), certainly, but they've got a certain je ne sais quoi that leaves us unable to condemn them to the scrap heap. Maybe it's just that time of the week, maybe we're losing our minds - what do you think of them?

The only possible use I can think of for these shoes is as part of a costume for a period drama :) And I tried really hard to think of a way to wear them! They are UGLY :)

I actually sort of like them. but, what on earth would you possibly wear them with? honestly? maybe with some skinny jeans? but, then, I don't think I could handle the sock...

Well, I didn't say they were beautiful! In the end, I think that I don't mind them because I think that the print on the shoes is so pretty - very Cath Kidson like, no? The rest of the shoe I could well do without :)
