Are these Gucci heels the must-have of the season?

When I first saw these black Gucci sandals on Camilla Belle at Gucci and Madonna’s fundraiser night earlier this month, I loved them. The contrast over her foot was fabulously geometric, but it didn’t make her feet or ankles look fat at all. Perhaps the mini dress helped elongate her legs, but they were seriously hot shoes. So it almost comes as no surprise that they’re the shoe featured in Nine West’s spring 2008 advertising campaign. Only they’re gold with slightly different proportions. This Nine West Olavera shoe comes in gold and black (surprise surprise), retailing at just $89, while the Gucci sandals would retail at well over $500. But would you buy either pair now that you know it’s been 'inspired'?
