Chloé Peep toe slingbacks

chloepeeptoesling-feb08.jpg 1990's style mules are making a comeback, thanks to Chloe's peep toe slingback. They've revamped the old style mules by adding a slingback, a brass buckle and a modern stacked heel. While I think they are ugly, I just had to refer back to Chloe's spring 2008 ready to wear collection to see how well they seemed to go with their light and floaty designs. The thick strap of leather seemed to anchor down the floaty designs, so perhaps that is a way to wear them in real life?

Pity about the peep toe. This trend of taking perfectly nice autumn/winter styles and lopping off the tip of the toe is annoying.

These are quite hideous. and i agree with Tephra in that peep toes are taking over the world. they have their place, but on a boot is not one of them. also, these bear a striking resemblance to shoes my 3rd grade teacher wore. *shudder*
