Julie Christie wears YSL's Tribute Platforms to the BAFTAs

While most stars went for shoe-covering long gowns at last night's BAFTA Awards, actress Julie Christie (Who missed out on the Best Actress Award -it went to Marion Cotillard instead) opted for this rather strange ensemble, consisting of animal print trousers, a smart jacket and a pair of YSL's famous Tribute platforms. Well, the shoes are certainly a Shoewawa favourite, but what do you think of them worn with this outfit? Should Julie perhaps just have gone with the traditional long gown instead, even although it would have meant hiding the lovely shoes?

I think a woman of her age can pull off shiny pants at an awards show. She clearly put in effort even if she didn't want to go all out. Over all, she looks nice.
