Katie Holmes wears Roger Vivier platforms to the Malawi/Unicef Benefit

katie-holmes.jpg

Katie Holmes looked fabulous at this week's Raising Malawi and Unicef Benefit (hosted by Madonna and Gucci, no less) in a red dress and gold satin platforms by Roger Vivier. I've read some criticism of Katie's shoe choice here, with some people commenting that although the shoes are beautiful, they're a bad choice with the dress. I actually really like this look, and think that although the shoes are a little on the chunky side, Katie's managing to pull it off well. What does everyone else think?

I like the look. I think if the heel of the shoe had have been in the same or similar colour to the rest of the shoe, it would have wrecked it, but on teh black carpet, it gives it more of a sleek, floating look.

Agreed. They aren't gold enough or mustard enough to bow to or match that color she's wearing. Ah, well, they're lovely and so is she.
