More fancy stilettos: Alexandra Neel's metallic t-strap sandals

Just in case you were in any doubt, here's some more confirmation that heels really are the new toes in the world of shoe-fashion. With a decorated heel a la Prada/Miu Miu and a lace-up, corset detail a la Gucci , these shoes are certainly ticking all the right trend boxes for Spring. I'm starting to wonder, though, if there's a point at which a heel can become a little too fancy, and cross the line into the land of "fussy" instead? These are certainly striking, but I have a feeling they might date very quickly. If you're happy to take the risk, they're currently available to pre-order at Saks.

I'm finding most of the detailed-heel stuff far too fussy. The corset detailing is sexy though. My concern though -- TOO sexy? Does it start to go over to trashy? Does it perhaps come in a more demure color?

I was planning to do a shoe with this idea, but erm, not gold and not laced with string. More Dita Von Teese than Ann Summers. Don't think I'll bother after seeing these!
