The shoe boot survives to fight another winter! Or it does if these pictures from the Matthew Williamson show are anything to go buy, so don't throw out this winter's "shoots" just yet. These ones have a vintage-look brocade vamp, backed with a shiny patent leather heel, in blue or nude, all balanced on a spindly stiletto. Williamson paired these with everything from mini skirts and coats, to longer, floatier lengths, and narrow pants.

New York Fashion Week Shoes: Matthew Williamson, Fall 2008 - Comments

  • Matthew's always a bit behind the curve. These are just a belated, hamfisted and startlingly unoriginal attempt to cash in on the Marie Antoinette and shoe-boot looks combined. And it really doesn't work.

  • Like the nude, but not feeling the blue.
