Gone are the days when platform soles would simply be an extension of the shoe vamp: these days a lot of designers have been experimenting with the shape of the platform itself, and one of those designers is Nicholas Kirkwood, who's created these distinctive pink suede sandals with a sculpted sole. The material is suede, with a lizard trim, and the price is £410 at Browns, who also stock a couple of variations on this style from Kirkwood.
