We'll just have to take Maison Martin Margiela's word for it that these are wedge heeled sandals, because you can't actually see much of the heel at all under that wide ankle-strap/heel cover, can you? That is, of course, the whole point, though, with the ankle section the focal point of this shoe, which covers you up from ankle to arch, but leaves your toes with only one little loop to secure them.
