Red and purple 'Lourdes' patent pumps by Pour la Victoire

lourdes.jpgWe've been loving the trend for double-strap Mary Janes lately, but what does every one think of double-strap court shoes? More specifically, what do you think of these double strap court shoes by Pour la Victoire? I really like the vibrant red patent and and purple suede combination, but I think I'd like these better if there was just the one strap on them, Then again, the second strap does at least make the shoe a little more interesting, just in case the colours aren't enough for you! They're $208.99 at Heels.com.

I think you're getting confused by the terms "mary jane" and "court shoe".

A mary jane shoe is a shoe with a strap across - therefore the shoes you show above are indeed mary jane style.

A court shoe is a simple slip-on, usually with a heel of some sort (but flats are court shoes as well if they don't include any kind of fastening) with no openings (like a peep-toe).

Thus the shoes above cannot be court shoes as they have a fastening - they are mary janes.

Just because a shoe has a high hel it doesn't make it a court shoe.
