Yay or Nay Wednesday

yaynay114.jpgDearie me. Last week's Yay or Nay appears to have left you all a little bug-eyed, which isn't surprising given that they look all frog-like and such! If you were one of the few who thought they were just lovely, bobbles and all, they're by Moschino and will set you back $553.95 at Zappos.

With this week's offering we're mixing it up a little and we're asking you to vote on some good ol' shoe storage! So, what do you think? Are they outstandingly organised or anally retentive? Yay or Nay and why?

[Don't forget to vote at Trashionista, Bridalwave, Hippy Shopper, Corrie Blog, Catwalk Queen, Kiss and Makeup, Shoewawa and Shiny Shiny too!]

I think I'm split right down the middle on this one.
On the one hand, it would be very nice to have a way to store and display all of my shoes so handily, and so organized! On the other hand, this rack design does not keep the dust off of the shoes, and dust is death to a lot of the finer fabrics (like silk) that my shoes are made with.
But right now I have all of my shoes stacked in a ridiculous looking cabinet, pairs on top of pairs, probably getting all squished and mangled, and I am desperate for something better - and I think these racks may fit the bill. So I guess that's a Yay from me, but just barely!

yay from me - I am fairly anal about having all of my shoes nicely organised!

Nay for me, just on personal preference. I keep my babies safely nestled in their boxes. It does take up a lot of room, but I think it keeps them from being scuffed and dusty. I feel like these kind of racks could possibly make your shoes misshapen, and that would be sad.

Yah for me, I love organization!

I'd love these! I struggle to find the pair I want every morning (especially when I'm half asleep!) there again I have at least 150 pairs so I'd need a few - you can see some of my collection at www.getlippy.com - I'm shoe addict number two in the 'Britain's greatest shoe-a holic' contest!

I am thinking this is pretty cool. It would work for me as I hate shoes all over creation and on the floor. It's compact and practical enough to do the job.

A sad 'nay' from me, because of the dust concern raised above. Also, for shoes that aren't worn that often (and thus stay on the rack for ages) I'd be scared that the wire would cut into the leather and stretch or warp it. The advantage of the racks, however, is ease: my current storage is boxes, and when I'm in a hurry I never put my shoes into them so they end up all over the floor, getting stepped on. Maybe boxes for the whole shoe collection and these racks for 'everyday shoes'?
Okay, fine, yay.

yay! i have way too many shoes to store in their boxes and have a couple of the canvas free standing shoe racks from argos. Theyre little square pouches so the shoes just sit there looking pretty (and dont accumulate dust!)

Yay from me - I have both of these items to store my shoes PLUS another rack AND many in boxes (especially off season)
