So, who says black court shoes have to be boring? These ones by Gil Carvalho are anything but, and although the idea is simple - a basic Mary Jane shape in black leather - the execution, with the low cut sides, textured front and narrow patent strap makes these very special. They're been reduced to £76 at Debenhams, and are available in everything except a UK 9 and 4 (which is, of course, my size.)
