Gladiator sandals are now getting into their second summer of popularity: there were lots of them around last year, and even more of them around this year, but despite the fact the style never seems to completely disappear, they're still a bit of a "love them or hate them" shoe. Personally, I think the flat, not-too-strappy versions can look good with shorts for a casual beach look, but I reckon gladiators like the ones on the far right of this picture, which reach up the leg (with some pairs reaching even further than these ones) are probably best left to those with a Mary-Kate Olsen sense of style - not to mention legs!
