There are lots of pairs of lace-up pumps in the stores at the moment, but I think these ones from Accessorize are amongst the nicest I've seen - not just because of the jazzy silver leather, but because they manage to be fairly delicate and feminine looking. These would make a nice alternative to trainers for a casual look with jeans, skirts or shorts, and at just £15 they're cheaper than most trainers, or lace-up pumps, come to think of it, too.
