Tan leather toe post wedges from River Island

Even although I've owned and worn more pair of thong sandals than I really care to think about, and have always found them to be some of the most comfortable shoes I own, there's something about the high heeled versions that still looks uncomfortable to me. I know they're probably not, but just the the thought of the entire weight of my body balancing on that thin strap between the toes makes me wince a little. These are wedges, of course, so your weight will be distributed across the entire sole, as opposed to just on the ball of the foot, so at £39.99 they could be a good summer buy. What do you think of them?
