Topshop's high heel court shoes with ankle tie

Topshop have used a very simple method to jazz up a regular old court shoe, here, adding a narrow tie for the ankle. It's this addition that will possibly leave opinions divided on this shoe, though, because while it's hard to argue with a classic court shoe (especially one in this lovely dark tan colour), some of us might just find ourselves tempted to snip the un-necessary strap off. Which camp do you fall into? Do you love the strap, or would you rather leave it off?
