Yay or Nay Wednesday

yaynay118.jpgLast week's Yay or Nay offering resulted in a fair spread of votes, but for those of you who loved the studded wedges, most agreed that when Dune placed them in the 'Dressy' section of their website, they were slightly off their rockers! In the end, the Nays won the vote; but for the fair few of you who found them to be riveting, you can pick them up for £75 from Dune.

This week's offering is actually a style I considered for Ugly Shoe of the Week, but I thought I'd put the vote to you instead! So, what do you think of them? Are they dashing and daring or vile Victoriana? Yay or Nay and why?

[Don't forget to vote at Trashionista, Bridalwave, Hippy Shopper, Corrie Blog, Catwalk Queen, Kiss and Makeup, Shoewawa and Shiny Shiny too!]

"Riveting."

Cute. Real cute.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them ugly. They're just plain silly and something I would be very embarrassed to wear. If I saw someone wearing them I would certainly laugh.

Nay. It's part-Sgt. Pepper's, part-Hobbit, part-Renaissance Fair and I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to wear it, much less WANT to wear it.

Nay. They're kind of attractive against a plain white background. But they would look clownish on someone's feet, IMO. And what on earth would you wear with them?

Yay! It's a cute combination of military and victorian with a hint of motorbike - in fact, it's a really fabulous steampunk shoe, but I think it could also go over jeans with a jacket.

Yay...oddly... They're right on the verge of ugly, but they're one of those boots that I can imagine some real bad ass outfits with. But it takes the appropriate bad ass person to wear them right.

Yay. They're different, and it would all hinge on the outfit, but I really want to play around with them in Polyvore. I bet they could be a key piece to a killer outfit.

Yucky icky NAY. They look like cowboy boots (which I HATE) with a hint of Victorian (which I love) but not nearly enough to make me like these beasts. But then, I don't think "Victorian" and "cowboy" would look good mashed together in any way whatsoever.
NAY NAY NAY.

A tentative yay...

over jeans, perhaps. I'd not go so far as to scoff at someone wearing them but equally wouldn't buy them myself.

I've seen nay-er.

Nay. I just find these very, very unexciting, and I really don't like the shape of the heel.
