Maison Martin Margiela Half-and-Half pumps

When I first saw these shoes I seriously thought "mmm Neapolitan ice cream, it's been too long" and when one thinks of food when they see a shoe, it's probably not a good thing. What was Maison Martin Margiela thinking when they designed these Half-and-Half Pumps? One half is iridescent black leather, while the other is a mirror like antique silver nylon mesh. All for the not-cheap price of $685. Sure the shoe has it's good points - it could potentially match more items in your wardrobe, plus they do come with a leather sole and rubber heel pad to help reduce the likeliness of blisters... but would you wear them?
