Rope Detail Cut Out Wedge from ASOS

ropedetailwedge.jpg

Whoa, these wedges are seriously chunky. I think I'd be afraid to wear them because a) I'd likely sprain an ankle b) I don't think I'd have the leg strength to even pick my feet up and c) rope burn seems inevitable.

There seems to be a combo of trends going on here - with the rope being a touch of nautical and the wood heel a nod towards the natural trend we're also seeing this season.

I think these would work best for those who a) want to channel a very luxe boho look this summer (try wearing them with a maxi dress), b) will spend a lot of time lounging on a beach somewhere or c) have freakishly strong calf muscles! They're £45 from asos.com.

I am vertically challenged so I am sooo glad that platform shoes are staying in style! I love to wear them with my long jeans for added height and a leaner look. But when I wear open back heels with my long jeans I often have the problem of the fabric bunching between my heel and shoe. Has anyone seen the product Kix By Katie? www.kixbykatie.com It is a great problem solver for this. Check it out!
