Spot the Difference: Target do Topshop

taregt_topshop.jpg

We're used to seing high street fashion "inspired" by designers, but I'm not sure whether Topshop should feel flattered or annoyed to see that it has apparently started to "inspire" some styles of its own. We wrote about Topshop's mid-heel Mary Jane court shoes (seen on the right of this picture) back in January, and they're now out of stock on the Topshop website, although when they were stocked, I seem to remember them also being available in a yellow colour not unlike the Target version, on the left. Target's Mary Jane pumps, meanwhile, come in yellow and blue, and there's one very big difference between them and the Topshop versions: while Topshop were charging £50 (about $100) for their shoes, Target charge just $19.99.

  • Cim, you're right. Love Target, but their website makes my head hurt!

    Looooove Target!

You were fooled by the random grouping of products at the website: the Target pumps come in yellow, blue, red, a cream just like the Topshop pair in your picture, and black.

Omigod, omigod, omigod. Topshop always does such lovely shoes. And you mean to say I can get these in the US? Awesome!
