A classy take on summer sandals, these high heeled platforms by Marni feature a winning combination of matt and shiny that makes them ideal every day or party wear: the chunky wooden soles are more than enough to offset the sheen of the patent leather and clear plastic edging; a delicate balance that Marni have pulled off with aplomb. Yoox is selling them with £40 off at £130

Come September, or even July at this rate, everyone will be so over Luella-style 'ditsy' floral prints. Get your floral fix as soon as you can with New Look's wedges, perfect if you want to get in on the floral trend without actually wearing a dress, skirt or even culottes.
Team them with a sassy combo of jeans and vest top or go for broke in a mix of prints. A multi maxi dress and woven belt will give you that neo-boho 'fashionista of the world' type look and for £20 who can argue with that?

Karen Millen fans will be pleased to know that they now have another place to buy the brand - ASOS.com have just started stocking a range of clothes and accessories by Karen Millen, including these zebra print sandals. Animal print is always an easy way to give a bit of kick to an outfit, and I think the red stiletto heel and accents is a nice touch on these ones. They're £150 from ASOS.com.

Covered platforms have been everywhere lately, and there's a good reason for their popularity: they give you that bit of extra height without making you look like you're tottering on top of a huge platform - clever, no?
It looks like by the time winter rolls around, though, we're going to want to be drawing attention to those very same platforms, with the pre-fall collections including a lot of very obvious soles. What do you think of them, though? Will you wear them?

I bought a pair of these satin peep toes in black a few weeks ago: they only cost £20, but they very quickly became one of my favourite pairs of shoes, so I was happy to see that New Look have just released the shoe in a bunch of other colours including teal, red, pink and white. They're better looking in real life than they are in the picture, and are a style that works for just about any occasion. I'm tempted to stock up on some more colours, in fact...

It was 'nay' all the way for last week's Yay or Nay shoe, which was River Island's peep toe slingback. Most of you found the contrasting sole the most objectionable part of this shoe, but anyone who liked them can buy a pair for £69.99.
Onto this week's shoe which, as you can see, is a be-fringed turquoise stiletto. Do you love this style, though, or does this sandal need a haircut - and quick? Vote Yay or Nay in the comments, and don't forget to tell us why!

If one strap is good, it stands to reason two straps must be better. That seems to be the logic behind these double-strap t-bars by Miss Selfridge, anyway, and I can't really fault it. The double strap isn't the only talking point here, though: there's also the snake-print uppers and that lovely pale gold colour. Not bad for £35!
