Prada black suede ankle cuff pumps

prada-blacksuedeanklecuffpu.jpgI am definitely not a fan of most of the shoes from the Prada spring 2008 collection. While the clothes were artistic, they were still wearable, and I don't know if I could say the same about the shoes. Take these Prada black suede ankle cuff pumps for example, they are definitely works of art with imaginative detailing and shapes, but one is tempted to think that they belong on the set of Pricilla Queen of the Desert musical, or in a Mardi Gras parade. For me, the shoes seems to be trying to do too much with the peep toe, cut out details, criss-cross straps and thick ankle strap. And all this doesn't even take into example the metallic gold and $576 price tag (down from $720). Would you buy and wear these heels?

I think they're gorgeous. I'd be proud to wear them, though if there were some way to remove the ankle strap, I'd be even prouder.

I like ankle straps. I'd love to wear these, but I can't afford them. I'll gladly accept them as a gift though if anyone's offering.
