Ankle straps on flat shoes is normally a huge no-no for me, because the combination of the strap and the flatness will leave me looking like I have the cankles from hell. In this case, however, "flat" is a bit of a misnomer, because these River Island shoes do have a heel, albeit a very small one. Will it make a difference to the "cankle" situation? I'm not sure, but the overall cuteness of the shoe makes me tempted to find out. These are £34.99. and have leather uppers atop that tiny little heel.
