To answer my own question from the headline, I think almost anything's better than plastic shoes, so while I wouldn't wear these ones myself, it's nice to see Crocs trying something a bit different. These are their "Santa Cruz" pumps and they also come in plain white and brown. They're $59.99 and could make a handy pair of casual shoes for a laid back summer. Not the nicest pair of shoes I've ever seen by a long shot, but I think Crocs deserve some credit for breaking away from the "plastic with holes all over" mould. What do you think of these? Would you wear them?
