Faith's red 'Hanana' platform sandals

I've wracked my brains for something positive to say about Faith's 'Hanana' sandals, but it just ain't happening. In fact, every time I look at them, the phrase "boat shoes" springs to mind - not because these would be handy on the decks (I'm no sailor, but I'm guessing they really wouldn't be!) but because they actually look like boats to me - and would probably make my feet look like boats, too. And therein lies the problem of the flat platform. Oh yes, it may sound like a good idea on paper - you get all that extra height without having to totter around on heels, after all - but the reality is that these would really take the "nautical" look too far, making you look like you slipped your feet into a pair of rowing boats.

Of course, don't just take my word for it. They may well look much better on than they do in the picture, and if you think you could really rock these (like a boat, perhaps), you can pick up a pair for £45 at Faith.
