Gold brocade button shoes from Next
They may not be at the cutting edge of fashion, but Next are good at producing decent quality shoes for special occasions, and I think these gold button shoes could be a good choice for someone with a wedding to attend, for instance, who doesn't want to wear high heels. The brocade uppers make these very dressy, while the round toes and low heels should make them fairly comfortable - essential if you're going to be standing around all day! The £35 price tag is reasonable, too.
