Gwen Stefani to redesign Dorothy's red shoes along with Louboutin, Manolo and Choo

Dorothy's famous red shoes from The Wizard of Oz are one of the most iconic pairs of shoes of all time, so it seems only fitting that when a redesign became necessary, some of the most iconic shoe designers were chosen for the job.

Now, I don't know if I'd quite describe Gwen Stefani as "iconic" as a shoe designer, although I do love her L.A.M.B. line. Nevertheless, Gwen is among 19 designers who will re-interpret the red shoes as part of an event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz next year. Others include Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta and Roger Vivier. I can't wait to see what they all come up with!
