Mary Jane Monday: Five pairs of red Mary Janes
This Monday we thought we'd bring you a pop of colour with your regularly scheduled Mary Jane fix, so here are five pairs of red shoes to brighten your day.
These 'Glinda' shoes from Amazon are the ultimate 'Dorothy' shoes, with all that red glitter. That's going to make them totally impractical for all but the very glitziest of occasions, of course, but I don't think a roundup of red Mary Janes would be complete without them, do you? Read on for some more...

For a completely different look, the shoes pictured above are by Gabriella Rocha, and are an affordable $60 at Zappos. Mid-height heels can be so hard to get right, but I think these ones manage not to look too frumpy, and that little bit of extra height stops the shoes from being too childish either, which can sometimes be the case with totally flat Mary Janes.

I somehow don't think anyone could describe Vince Camuto's 'Lottie' Mary Janes as "childlike",somehow. With their high heel and scarlet satin uppers, these have a bit of a vampish feel to them, and the gem-embellished buckle is the perfect finishing touch. They're $99.99 at Heels.com

If you don't want to go for a bright, pillar-box red, Jessica Simpson's 'Marsha' Mary Janes tone things down a little using ombre instead. Yes, I know it's probably on the way out now, but it's still a nice alternative to a block colour, and these have a nicely classic open-toed style, too. They're $70 at Piperlime.

Finally, these
">'Black Gardenia' peep toes from Barratts have a bit of a designer look to them, but a £35 price tag, which is very welcome. The croc-effect platform adds a bit of interest here, and these are also available in black and leopard.
